RESIDENTS OF LEROY:
The city council has approved a temporary food assistance program for our residents who are affected by the lack of SNAP funding, and who have been residents of LeRoy for at least six (6) months.
Residents who are wishing to utilize our program may apply at LeRoy City Hall. Deadline for November benefits is 11/13, and deadline for December is 12/11. Vouchers are only good for those months, and must be used by 12/31/2025.
Applicants must provide proof of residency and a valid SNAP card for October, 2025. The city will provide a voucher; currently the voucher is only good at Kirby Foods (IGA), and will be valid at Dollar General once corporate has given approval. Only allowable SNAP items may be purchased by the voucher.
Allowable amounts are $125.00 per month for 1-2 person households and $275.00 for households of 3 or more persons. The amounts must be used in a single shopping visit.
