Disposal at City Dumpster and Landscape Waste Site
PUBLIC NOTICE RE: DISPOSAL AT LE ROY CITY DUMPSTER and DISPOSAL OF LANDSCAPE WASTE AT CITY DISPOSAL SITE
EFFECTIVE DATE: November 14, 2024
It is unlawful for any person other than a City of Le Roy utility customer to dispose of any bulk items at any time at the city dumpster. Fines are as follows:
- First Offense: $500.00
- Second Offense: $600.00
- Third and subsequent Offense: $750.00 each
No person shall dispose of any landscape waste material at the designated city site unless such person is a City of Le Roy utility customer or a contactor holding a valid permit issued by the City of Le Roy. All material must be combustible.
Fines for non-utility customers disposing of landscape waste and for anyone leaving non-combustible material in the disposal site are as follows:
- First Offense: $500.00
- Second Offense: $600.00
- Third and subsequent Offense: $750.00 each
Contractor Landscape Disposal Permits are available at City Hall during regular business hours. Permits are valid within the calendar year of issue, must be renewed annually, and includes a log of addresses being serviced.
Le Roy utility customers need to contact the Street Department 309-962-3941 or City Hall 309-962-3031 for approval to dispose of anything on city property. Weekends call Steve Dean 309-660-3866.
No construction material is allowed.
