City Siren & Tornado Shelter

Do you know what our city siren blasts mean?  It's important to understand the signals.

Tornado Warning: Continuous blast of the siren: 3 minutes 15 seconds.

Fire Call: Intermittent blast of the siren: 15 seconds on, 10 seconds off.

Tip: If there is bad weather and you hear the siren, start counting off seconds. If the siren is still blasting continuously after 15 seconds has passed, it's time to take shelter.

Town Shelter:  Le Roy Elementary School has been established as a shelter.  In case of a tornado warning go to the back of the Elementary School and go into the basement.  The shelter will only be opened when we are under a warning.
