PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING MAP TO REZONE PROPERTY FROM THE “R-1” GENERAL RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT TO THE C-2 HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICT AND CONSIDERATION OF A RECOMMENDATION ON THE REZONING REQUEST TO THE CITY COUNCIL
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Le Roy Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on September 28, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the Le Roy City Hall, 207 S. East Street, Le Roy, Illinois 61752, regarding an application to amend the zoning map to rezone from the R-2 General Residential District to the C-2 Highway Commercial Zoning District the following described and identified property:
A tract of land lying in part of the East 114 feet of Lot 3 in the Subdivision of Lot 7 of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 22 North, Range 4 East of the Third Principle Meridian, City of Le Roy, McLean County, Illinois being more particularly described as follows;
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 3, said point also being the Southwest corner of Lot 2 in the Le Roy Travel Mart Subdivision; Thence Easterly along the South line of said Lot 3 a distance of 25 feet; thence Northerly parallel with the East line of said Lot 3 to a point 25 feet West of the Northwest corner of Lot 2 in the Le Roy Travel Mart Subdivision; thence Easterly 25 feet to said Northwest corner; thence South along the West line of said Lot 2 to the Point of Beginning.
All persons interested in the application should attend and will be given an opportunity to provide written and oral testimony. The public hearing may be continued from time to time without further public notice.
