MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 16, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Steve Dean with all council members present except Nancy Bentley at roll call. Staff members present were Steve Reynolds, Scott Bryant, Dave Jenkins, Mike Bennett, Jeff Clawson and Vicki Moreland.
Included on the consent agenda were the November 2, 2009 Council Minutes and a listing of invoices payable in the total amount of $190,632.71. Motion was made by Shirley and seconded by Dawn T. to approve the consent agenda with a correction to the minutes as follows. The last paragraph on page one should state that Nancy Bentley voted yes, and Dawn Thompson voted no. Roll call to accept the consent agenda: Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Boyd Denner-yes, T.A. Whitsitt-yes, Dawn Hanafin-abstain, Julie Duncan-yes. Motion carried 6 yeas, 0 nays and 1 abstain.
Ordinance No. 09-11-03-10, An ordinance amending Title One, Administration Chapter Four, General Penalty, Section Three, Settlement of Certain Ordinance Violations, Municipal Code of Le Roy, Illinois, 2003 (as amended) was passed on a motion by Dawn T, and seconded by John. Roll call: Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Boyd Denner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Dawn Hanafin-yes, Julie Duncan-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays.
No action was taken after discussion regarding the Area Disposal (Secondary Agreement), of residents using Area exclusively for roll off containers. .
Steve Dean stated that the City parks would be decorated Saturday, November 21st by organizations and volunteers.
Shirley invited anyone interested in attending the Vietnam War Wall Memorial meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 P.M.
Motion was made by John and seconded by Shirley to adjourn the regular session of the city council and move into the scheduled work session at 7:40 P.M. Roll call: Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Boyd Denner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Dawn Hanafin-yes, Julie Duncan-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays.
