MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING HELD MAY 9, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 11:00 A.M. by Mayor Steve Dean with all council members present at roll call. City Clerk, Sue Marcum was also present.

Motion was made by Shirley and seconded by Dawn T. to ender executive session at 11:01 A.M. to discuss 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1), Personnel, specifically Gordon Beck, the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, dismissal or to hear testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Wendy Brent-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Boyd Denner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.

Motion was made by Dawn T. and seconded by Shirley to adjourn the executive and return to regular session at 12:34 P.M. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Wendy Brent-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Boyd Denner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
