MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MARCH 16, 2009
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gary Koerner at 7:00 P.M. with all council members present at roll call. Staff members present were Steve Reynolds, Mike Bennett, Corey Edgington, Scott Bryant, Dave Jenkins, Katie Taylor, Jeff Clawson and Sue Marcum.
Included on the consent agenda were the March 2, 2009 City Council Minutes and a listing of invoices payable in the total amount of $360,015.60. Motion was made by Shirley and seconded by Dawn T. to approve the consent agenda. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-abstain, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays, 1 abstain.
Motion was made by Steve and seconded by Shirley to accept and waive the reading of the March 5, 2009, Minutes of the Zoning Board of Appeals for Hearing No. 396, the Christian Church. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Ordinance No. 09-03-01-51, An Ordinance approving a variation of Accessory Building Square Footage Requirements of the Municipal code of the city of
Le Roy, Illinois, 2003, Title 10-Zoning (Christian Church, 603 S. East) was passed on a motion made by Steve and seconded by Nancy. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.

Shirley made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 09-03-03-51, An ordinance approving a variation of accessory building square footage requirements of the Municipal Code of the City of Le Roy, Illinois, 2003 Title 10-Zoning (Brian Moyer, Lot 77 Falcon Ridge). The motion failed due to lack of a second to the motion.
Motion was made by Dawn T. and the second was given by Steve to recess the regular session of the City Council at 8:10 P.M. and enter the scheduled committee work session.
