MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 2, 2009
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gary Koerner at 7:02 P.M. with all council members present at roll call except T. A. Whitsitt. Staff members present were Corey Edgington, Dave Jenkins, Gordon Beck, Scott Bryant, Jeff Clawson and Sue Marcum.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given by council members, staff and the attending public.
Included on the consent agenda were the following items:
1) Minutes of the City Council Meeting held on January 19, 2009.
2) Listed invoices in the total amount of $80,156.29.
Motion was made by Steve and seconded by Nancy to approve the consent agenda. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays.
Motion was made by Shirley and seconded by John to make an annual contribution of $500.00 to support the Show Bus program which provides transportation for the residents of Le Roy. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays.
Council members received a listing of the executive minutes dating from February 4, 2008 through January 19, 2009 for their review. Motion was made by Shirley and seconded by John to leave all the listed executive minutes closed to the public. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays.
Ordinance No. 09-02-01-53, An Ordinance adopting Building Code Violations and Citations for the City of Le Roy, McLean County, Illinois passed on a motion made by Dawn T. and seconded by Dave. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes. Motion carried 7 yeas, 0 nays.
Minutes of the meeting held 02/02/09 continued.
