MINUTES OF THE
COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON JUNE 16, 2008
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gary Koerner at 7:01 P.M. with all council members present at roll call. Staff members present were Dave Jenkins, Steve Reynolds, Gordon Beck, Jeff Clawson and Sue Marcum.
The minutes of the June 2, 2008, City Council Meeting were approved on a motion made by Steve, and seconded by Dawn T. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Mike Hanafin was in attendance to speak with the council about the Fourth of July celebration and the need for donations to pay for the fireworks which will be purchased from S&N Display. Motion was made by Steve and seconded by T.A. approving the donation of $1,000.00 for the 2008 Fourth of July event. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Ordinance No. 08-06-01-10, An ordinance amending Title 1: Administration, Chapter 8A: City Administrator, Section 6: Powers and Duties, Sub-Section 5: Purchases and Contracts, defining Responsible Bidders for the City of Le Roy, McLean County, Illinois was passed on a motion made by Steve and seconded by Dawn T. Roll call: Dawn Hanafin-yes, Nancy Bentley-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Steve Dean-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Listed invoices in the total amount of $259,894.35 were approved for payment on a motion made by Dave and seconded by Shirley. Motion was made by Dawn T. and seconded by Steve to adjourn the regular session of the City Council and enter the scheduled work session at 8:01 P.M.
