MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON JANUARY 15, 2007
The council meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Dave McClelland at 7:00
P.M. with all the council members present at roll call. Staff members present
were Scott Bryant, Russ Morrow, Gordon Beck, Steve Reynolds, Sue Marcum and
Jeff Clawson.
Minutes of the January 2, 2007 Council Meeting were approved on a motion made by Jerry, second was given by Dawn. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, Dave McClelland-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Minutes of the hearing held by the Zoning Board of Appeals on January 4, 2007 were accepted to be placed on file on a motion made by Dawn, second was given by Shirley. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, Dave McClelland-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Ordinance No. 07-01-02-51, An ordinance approving a special permitted use of
the Municipal Code, Le Roy, Illinois, 2003, as amended, Title 10, Zoning (Jeff
Johnson,
308 W. Cherry) was passed on a motion made by Gary, seconded by T. A. Roll call:
John Haney-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch
Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, Dave McClelland-yes. Motion
carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Jeff gave the council a brief overview of the Financial Report performed by Henning, Strouse, Jordan & Stephens for the fiscal year ending April 2006. Motion was made by Jerry, second was made by Butch to accept the Management Letters and Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2005-2006. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, Dave McClelland-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Motion was made by Butch, second was given by Shirley to table the sales tax referendum ordinance. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, Dave McClelland-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Listed invoices in the total amount of $81,370.59 were approved for payment
on a motion made by Jerry, second given by Shirley. Roll call: John Haney-yes,

Minutes of meeting held 01/15/07 continued.
It was reported to the council that the necessary procedures are being performed
by Attorney Bruce Beal and city staff in order to release the lien the city
had filed on the Princess Theatre property.
Motion was made by Dawn, seconded by Butch to adjourn the regular session of the council at 7:48 P.M. and proceed to enter the scheduled work session. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T.
