MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
HELD AUGUST 1, 2005
The meeting was called to order at 7:04 P.M. by Mayor Jane Engblom with all council members present at roll call. Staff members present were Vicki Moreland, Steve Reynolds and Jeff Clawson. Also present was attorney Dave Stanczak.
The minutes of the July 18, 2005 regular council meeting were approved on a motion made by Jerry, second by Butch. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Motion was made by Dave, second by Dawn to accept the appointments by Mayor Jane Engblom of Judy Short, Ed Hair, Bill Swindle, and Glenn Stubblefield for the Fall Festival Committee. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
A Special Projects Committee meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, August 9 at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall.
Listed invoices in the total amount of $73,713.30 were approved for payment on a motion made by Gary, second by John. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Motion was made by Dawn, second by Dave to enter executive session at 7:20 P.M. to discuss 5 ILCS 120/2 © (1 & 11) Litigation. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
The council returned to regular session at 8:20 P.M.
Motion was made by Dawn, second by Shirley to adjourn the regular council meeting at 8:25 P.M. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Shirley Chancellor-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
