MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
HELD NOVEMBER 1, 2004
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Robert Rice with all council members present at roll call except Theresa O’Hare. Staff members present were Ralph Jungles, Steve Reynolds, Jeff Clawson, Sue Marcum and City Attorney, Dave Stanczak.
Theresa O’Hare was seated at 7:03 P.M.
Minutes of the October 18, 2004 Council Meeting were approved on a motion made by Jerry, second by Gary after a typographical error was noted. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, Theresa O’Hare-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Ralph reported his department had performed tobacco/alcohol checks recently which resulted in no illegal sales.
The Christmas party has been scheduled for December 11, 2004 to be held at the Sportsman Club, located north of Le Roy. Invitations with details will be delivered to officers and employees.
The job description for the police department lieutenant position was approved on a motion made by John, second by Butch. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, Theresa O’Hare-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
The pay scale for the police lieutenant position was approved on a motion made by John, second by Theresa. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, Theresa O’Hare-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Motion was made by Butch, second by Theresa to accept the low bid in the amount of $92,780 from Shay Land Improvement for the landfill project to be done in the spring of 2005. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, Theresa O’Hare-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
Listed invoices in the total amount of $155,169.50 were approved for payment on a motion made by Gary, second by Theresa. Roll call: John Haney-yes, Dave McClelland-yes, Butch Cook-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, T. A. Whitsitt-yes, Gary Koerner-yes, Theresa O’Hare-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes. Motion carried 8 yeas, 0 nays.
