MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
HELD FEBRUARY 18, 2002
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robert Rice at 7:02 P.M. with all council
members present except Gary Koerner. Also present were Steve Reynolds,
Jeff Clawson and Sue Marcum. The public in attendance is listed on the
attached sign in sheet.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
Minutes of the February 4, 2002 Council Meeting were approved on a motion
made by Dave, second by Jerry. RollCall: Dave McClelland-yes, Grace
Anderson-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes. Motion
carried 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Mayor Robert Rice made an appointment of Jeff Abbott as City Attorney.
Motion was made by Dave, second by Dawn to approve the Mayor’s appointment
of Jeff Abbott as City Attorney. Roll Call: Dave McClelland-yes,
Grace Anderson-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes.
Motion carried 5 yeas, 0 nays.
A Budget and Finance meeting was scheduled for February 26th and a Community
and Economic Development meeting was scheduled for February 28th.
Motion was made by Dave, second by John to enter an agreement with Jeff
Abbott to provide legal services for the City of Le Roy. Roll Call:
Dave McClelland-yes, Grace Anderson-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes,
John Haney-yes. Motion carried 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Listed invoices in the total amount of $52,308.56 were approved for payment
on a motion made by John, second by Dawn. Roll Call: Dave McClelland-yes,
Grace Anderson-yes, Jerry Henson-yes, Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes.
Motion carried 5 yeas, 0 nays.
The Mayor read a letter he had received from the EAST Class. The letter
conveyed their appreciation for the City’s contribution towards the EAST
Program.
Motion was made by Dawn, second by John to adjourn the council meeting at 7:20
P.M. Roll Call: Dave McClelland-yes, Grace Anderson-yes, Jerry Henson-yes,
Dawn Thompson-yes, John Haney-yes. Motion carried 5 yeas, 0 nays.
